The area of Place Lalla Yeddouna is a center for traditional handicrafts, mainly tanners, copperand brassmiths. The competition site covers an area of approximately 7,400 sqm. It consists of building entities that encircle an open central square, Place Lalla Yeddouna. The project aims to reconstruct an identity of the place: the new and renovated buldings show a palette of typical colours and morphologic elements; the use of cloths as curtains becomes a architectonical elements.
