5

TIPOLOGIES The urban form and typology’s analysis of suburbs in Luanda we lead up to specification of live functions: living, bedroom, services, patio and warehouse. The rooms form spaces differently usable and they change and alternate. The land’s lot, 25×10mt, become the container of these functions, a limited space wherein the full is alternate to empty and it creates areas and ways always more private going away from the front of the street. Compared to internal patios the house’s rooms are raised off the floor and the house is covered with a pitched roof, these solutions were select to make healthy the rooms for the climatic conditions of this country. The roof’s lean will be used for the rain water’s recuperate though the use of an elementary system formed by eaves and water tanks.

CONCEPT Enclose – Lift Up – Cover – Collect: water ,air, sun.

-The existence of more patios help the creation of shade’s areas which cause air flows. -recovery rain water -humidity

THE CITYAGGREGATION PLAN The patio house is inserted in an existing urban context and it has many possible combinations. We found more chances of combination that highlight the house’s flexibility according to every family’s needs and means. In the 2 or 3 solutions the same combination is intended like a patio house because their placement generate urban empties that can be used like common spaces, for neighbourhood’s activities, little markets or playgrounds.

Final definition of the elevation may come from economic reasons and customization chosing both skyline both different materials.
